Michigan Test for Teacher Certification - Teacher Education Required Tests

Share:

One of the requirements to receive an initial Standard Certificate recommendation from University of Detroit Mercy is to successfully pass one or more of the Michigan Test for Teacher Certification (MTTC) subject-area test. Testing preparation materials are available in the Education Department and may be checked out for use up to a maximum of two weeks.

Please contact your education advisor regarding the appropriate subject-area test(s) to take for your specific program.
If you are having difficulty passing your subject-area test please contact the Education department with your test results.
Additional preparation materials such as test objectives, study guides and information regarding practice tests are available on the MTTC website at the Michigan Department of Education Teacher Certification website.

Need Financial Assistance with Test Fees?

The Education Department has a limited amount of vouchers for University of Detroit Mercy students experiencing serious financial hardships and are unable to purchase registration for the MTTC. The voucher may be applied to a subject-area test fee. This voucher may NOT be applied to registration for paper-based testing.
