Master Economics with Applied and Theoretical Knowledge
A Master of Arts in Economics from University of Detroit Mercy produces graduates capable of applied research and progression to doctoral programs. This is a flexible program designed to produce graduates capable of applied research and progression to doctoral programs. Students can choose to work with instructors on topics of common interests. They can also get the assistance of instructors on techniques and research methods.

A Master of Arts in Economics from Detroit Mercy prepares you for career advancement in the private sector, non-profit institutions, school systems, industry and financial institutions, as well as in various levels of government. Types of careers include business manager, economist, business analyst, economic analyst, consultant, policy advisor and economic advisor.
While you are a student completing courses relevant to the world of economics, you will also have opportunities to work with expert financiers as instructors and research leads. Faculty areas of expertise include labor economics, health economics, network economics, banking, investment banking, international economics and political economy.

- An undergraduate degree in economics or business administration is preferred.
- An overall grade point average of 3.0 or better.
