Cultural Seminars - great for in-school field trips!
Allow UDM to come to your school for a cultural presentation. Students can observe a Japanese tea ceremony, participate in the Brazilian martial art of Capoeira, learn the significance of Kwanzaa, or adapt a program to serve your school's needs. Foreign Language Abstract & Rates Pre-K and K-12
Languages Proposed: Arabic, Chinese, German, French, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Latin, Spanish, others
Abstract:
- Course is designed to present students with the foundation and scaffolding in the four skill areas: speaking, listening, reading and writing
- Cultural components built into the program
- All language levels are available
- Teachers have native proficiency and/or professional degrees
- Scheduling is flexible, alternative locations can be arranged
- Academic credit is available (10th grade and above)
General Rates:
Based on 10 hours of instruction: 1 hour, once per week

Course Materials:
The materials can consist of a textbook and/or workbook and/or audio materials, and supplemental materials provided by the instructor. Students are encouraged to purchase course texts. The university will order the appropriate course texts for the student. Estimated cost: $50.00
