Human Services Major (Bachelor of Science)
The Human Services major prepares undergraduate students to assume effective leadership roles in not-for-profit agencies supporting or serving people and communities who are experiencing need. Human Services is a broadly defined field, uniquely approaching the objective of meeting human needs through an interdisciplinary knowledge base.
The Human Services major is an interdisciplinary major consisting of courses from 4 core areas: human services, social work, criminal justice and psychology. The major draws upon the theories and research in each of these areas and provides students with a broad foundation in the behavioral sciences.
