Financial Aid

All first- and second-year doctoral students receive 18 credit hours of tuition support each year in exchange for work as Graduate Assistants. These assignments are made by the Director of Clinical Training after students have been admitted to the Doctoral Program.

The Department of Psychology has a limited number of fellowships to offer students. Those who wish to apply should fill out the form provided with the application form. The Financial Aid Office at the University should also be contacted for further information regarding other sources of financial assistance (313) 993-3350. In general, students applying to the doctoral program should expect that departmental financial aid will be limited and should be prepared to pay for the balance of tuition and other expenses.
