Counseling & Addiction Studies Admission
Admission Requirements
The requirements for admission to the counseling programs include the following:
- An undergraduate overall GPA of 2.75 or higher,
or a GPA of 3.0 or higher in the second half of the undergraduate degree program,
or a graduate GPA of 3.0 on a previously completed graduate degree; - a minimum of 15 hours in the behavioral sciences including at least one course in statistics;
- an autobiographical statement explaining your interests in the counseling profession;
- a writing exam;
- three letters of recommendation from individuals able to speak to your potential in the counseling field;
- an interview with the faculty.
Admission Deadlines
- June 15 for Fall Semester
- October 15 for Winter Semester
- March 1 for Summer Semester
